Essay on Interest in Science and Religion
Applicants must submit an essay of no more than 1,500 words outlining their interest in science and religion and detailing a specific topic they hope to cover. They should explain the topic's history and importance, its media coverage to date, how they came to their interest, and how a broad grounding in science and religion relates to their own career in journalism. The choice of a topic is not bound by the essay and will be further discussed with the directors in Cambridge. Fellows will make the final decision on which subject to pursue in project work during the first Cambridge seminar.
Writing Samples
Applicants should provide three samples of their best journalistic work. Applicants need not have written on science and religion, but those who have should submit at least one of those pieces.
